Meet your CHM staff: Tabitha Bohrer, Monica & Kevin Summers
Tabitha Bohrer and Monica Summers recently joined CHM’s Member Assistance department, where they answer questions about the ministry and make changes to members’ accounts. Kevin Summers, married to Monica, serves on the Member Advocate team and coaches members on how to obtain the best possible pricing on their medical bills.
When did you give your life to the Lord? I grew up in a Christian home, but I didn’t give my life to Christ until after my mother passed away. I was 15 years old.
Would you rather have an incredibly fast car or incredibly fast internet? An incredibly fast car—without a doubt!
What would you do if you were given $10,000 today? I would pay off all my debt and take a vacation somewhere warm—probably to a beach where I can smell the ocean breeze.
What about your job do you most enjoy? I love assisting CHM members by answering their questions when they call. Since I started working here, I have found very dear friends in Christ within the CHM family and am overwhelmed by all that God has provided to meet members’ healthcare costs.
What is your favorite smell? Anything related to fruit, but I also like Keepers of the Light Candles’ “caramel sticky bun” scent.
Who is your hero? So many people have prayed for me and encouraged me in my walk with Christ; however, I most admire the life journey of Ruth Graham. She’s an amazing modern-day example of the Proverbs 31 woman.
What is something you’d like CHM members to know? It’s a blessing and honor to serve them every day and, contrary to what some might think, CHM isn’t “too good to be true.” It’s true. CHM staff members have a servant’s heart and our goal is to bring glory to our Creator each day.
In what other ministries have you served? I’m a sports fanatic and have directed youth sports leagues. Coaching youth through life’s challenges and sharing the love of Jesus through sports has been a very rewarding experience.
What hobbies would you pursue if you had unlimited time and resources? I enjoy the weather and model trains, so I would create a large model train display and travel to major weather events held by The Weather Channel.
