Position Summary

The Provider Relations Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining positive and productive relationships between our organization and its network of providers. This role is responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to enhance the quality and accuracy of data entered into our Ministry database.

As a liaison between the organization and its providers, the Specialist contributes to our mission of delivering quality health cost-sharing services. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of tax identification numbers for all bills submitted to our organization and requires proficiency in various platforms, including Salesforce, Ninety, and Five9.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider databases and systems, ensuring the integrity of provider information and network directories.
  • Engage with providers to obtain Federal tax identification numbers and W-9 forms, ensuring compliance and accuracy in billing processes.
  • Provide support on special projects within the Provider Relations department, such as updating provider information on the organization’s website and conducting research and development activities.
  • Train in and utilize platforms like Salesforce, Ninety, and Five9 to streamline provider relations processes and enhance overall efficiency.

Other Functions

  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical and legal business practices, consistent with the organization’s Christian values.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other deliverables related to provider relations, as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to provide patient assistance to others and seek guidance and support when needed.
