JOB SUMMARY
Seeking an EDI Specialist II to independently manage EDI integrations, mappings, and healthcare transaction workflows. This role owns day-to-day EDI operations, partner support, and data quality while collaborating closely with ETL and data teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on EDI experience and working knowledge of healthcare transaction standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and support EDI integrations for inbound and outbound transactions.
- Build and maintain EDI mappings, validation rules, and transformations.
- Monitor EDI processing, troubleshoot errors, and resolve data issues independently.
- Support partner onboarding, testing, and certification activities.
- Collaborate with vendors, ETL developers, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure EDI processes meet CHM security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation for EDI workflows and partner integrations.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- EDI Standards: Exposure to EDI standards such as X12 (e.g., 834, 837, 835), XML, and flat-file formats.
- EDI Tools & Platforms: Exposure to EDI translators, mapping tools, or integration platforms.
- Data Integration: Knowledge of data mapping, transformation, and validation techniques.
- Secure Data Transfer: Exposure to SFTP or other secure file transfer methods.
- SQL (Preferred): Ability to query and validate data in relational databases.
- Automation (Preferred): Exposure to scripting or automation for EDI processing and monitoring.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2–5 years of EDI integration experience.
- Hands-on experience with X12 healthcare transactions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with secure file transfers (SFTP) and EDI tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple integrations.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated data environments preferred.
- Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and compliance practices is a plus.
