JOB SUMMARY
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the Ministry. Working closely with the Senior Business Intelligence Manager, this role is responsible for developing meaningful reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions that drive performance, improve efficiency, and support organizational goals.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, critical thinking, and the ability to clearly communicate complex data insights to diverse stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, insights, and actionable recommendations that support business strategy and operational performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into data solutions.
- Ensure data integrity by developing and maintaining data validation and quality control processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes through automation and improved data workflows.
- Present findings and insights through clear visualizations, executive summaries, and stakeholder presentations.
- Support the continuous improvement of reporting tools, analytics frameworks, and data governance practices.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling principles.
- Experience with database design and data warehousing concepts.
- Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and complex data structures.
Preferred
- 1–3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI (if not primary tool).
- Experience supporting marketing or operational analytics functions.
CERTIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification
- Python or R Programming Certification
