I had always liked the idea of a midwife helping me give birth at home. However, our first attempt at a home birth ended with emergency transport and a hospital delivery.

Though we were glad that Jenny Elizabeth was safe, I was disappointed that I was unable to give birth to her at home.

Thankfully, the added expense wasn’t an issue. Knowing that CHM would help with our hospital bills was a great blessing.

We once again tried a home birth with our second daughter, Alexa Jane. The Lord gave me strength and blessed us with a successful birth and peaceful recovery.

For the two births we obtained more than $15,000 in bill reductions and CHM members shared the remaining $10,000. We recommend the ministry’s maternity program to our siblings and friends who are adding children to their families.
