To enable you to know more about who leads CHM, Heartfelt Magazine will spotlight monthly a member of CHM’s leadership team: Men and women who are honored to serve you.
This month is Dave Tschantz, CHM Vice President and General Counsel:
I joined the CHM staff in 2020. While attending a Christian concert at a church near me, I met Joe Emert, a CHM board member, who told me about CHM. I was intrigued, which led to a “God moment.” CHM was looking for a General Counsel, and Joe offered me an interview and eventually a job offer.
As General Counsel for CHM, my work helps members in several ways. The legal department authors and oversees the language used in understandings and agreements CHM has with medical providers, including our CHM-friendly providers. This helps members with quicker service and discounts as they see their doctors and providers. In fact, my favorite part of the job is working to create an agreement with providers enabling members to receive treatment quicker from their chosen provider.
Additionally, I work to protect CHM’s future by working with our Government Relations team to explain to government officials or representatives the mission, heart, and advantages of CHM. By explaining our purpose of serving God’s people through the sharing of medical bills, I help secure CHM’s future across the United States.
I believe God uses the people we serve to let us know that He’s pleased with what we do, and the many letters and feedback we get from members feels like God’s encouragement. May God continue to bless you as you’ve blessed me.
