July 16 is #IamCHM Day at Christian Healthcare Ministries. The foundation for this special day is the one-word answer to each of the following three questions:
- How are Christians supported financially and uplifted spiritually through CHM?
- How does CHM release Christians from worry about how their medical bills will be paid?
- Who drives CHM’s ability to serve Christians throughout the country and world?
The answer: You!
You and every other CHM member’s faithful participation is how CHM does what it does for hundreds of thousands of members of the body of Christ.
Therefore, when you’re talking to others about the ministry, contemplating its role in Christians’ lives, or just looking at yourself in the mirror, it’s completely accurate to say this: “I am CHM.”
Because you’re CHM, you’re making these things possible for your fellow members:
Each of these messages, and thousands more like them, are sent to CHM—inspired by you and your faithfulness.
“I am CHM” is a statement of who you are, who we are, and what together we represent to the world by reflecting the light of Jesus’ words in John 13:35, “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
Because you are CHM, everyone who
sees what you do through this ministry knows that you love your fellow Christians.
On July 16, #IamCHM Day will be marked by the ministry. It’s also a special day of giving—and giveaways (see sidebar).
Funds raised will be used to meet the medical costs of CHM members on the Prayer Page (one of CHM’s two programs for qualifying pre-existing conditions).
You may already be aware of #IamCHM Day through email and social media contact from the ministry. If not, because you are CHM, it’s important you know about “I am CHM.”
We’ve produced a special page on our site that celebrates this community. We invite you to visit the page to see video testimonies from fellow members who are sharing their stories and thanking you for your care for them, because you are CHM. You can find them on our #IamCHM page.
In honor of #IamCHM and the biblical love CHM members have for one another, the web page is also a convenient way for those who feel led to contribute to Prayer Page needs. This giving doesn’t replace monthly financial gifts or the extra giving so many members are already sending to the ministry. Instead, it’s a one-time celebration through giving meant to boost, reach, care for and uplift your fellow members in an exceptional way.
And when you read the testimonies of thanks from those who will benefit from your generosity, there’s something you can say to yourself, three words that represent a spiritual motivation of a generous act: “I am CHM.”
