I’m healthy, so why do I need CHM?

*Editor’s note: This information was published in the October 2022 issue of Heartfelt Magazine, CHM’s monthly magazine that provides CHM membership-related tips and tricks, medical advice from doctors, testimonies from CHM members, and more. “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring,” says Proverbs 27:1. You’re healthy today—but does that mean you don’t need the support of CHM? We asked on social media, you answered, and we have the results!

A resounding 100% of the survey results indicated that members believe healthy people find value in Christian Healthcare Ministries. Regardless of age, weight, or geographic location, CHM members have discovered a faith-based community that supports their needs. Specifically, members believe CHM has value for healthy individuals because:

  • The ministry is budget-friendly: 85% agreed that CHM is a cost-effective way to plan for healthcare costs.
  • The ministry is biblical: 85% agreed that a faith-based approach is best.
  • The ministry allows you to choose your own providers: 78% agreed that being empowered with the flexibility to choose your preferred doctors is important.

Members also noted that the spiritual support and encouragement they’ve received, especially from “caring staff members,” is an invaluable benefit of participating in CHM.

Even if you don’t have any health concerns now, members agree that it’s nice to have peace of mind that any eligible medical expenses will be shared. As you come alongside one another, you’re able to help fellow Christians with the knowledge that they’ll also help you in your moment of need. When the body of Christ comes together to support one another, lives are touched to bring glory to His name.

Just like you wear your seatbelt in the car as a safety precaution, your CHM membership is here for any medical needs that might arise, “just in case.”
