CHM members Alex, Stephen and Shannon Kendrick (Albany, Ga.) are the creators of powerful faith-based movies, among them War Room, Courageous and Fireproof.
Their new film, Overcomer, opens in theaters nationwide Aug. 23. Overcomer is the story of John Harrison, a high school basketball coach who must come to grips with challenges facing his family and his team. Urged by his principal to coach a sport he doesn’t like, John is frustrated and questioning his worth until he crosses paths with a student struggling with her own problems. Together the characters (and the audience) face the question, “What do you allow to define you?”
